Which game engine or framework did you use? And are the images in the SVG format? There is lag, and I'm wondering if it's due to the loaded images? I liked the art and music. Check my game profile on itch.
Sadly I couldn't open on Mac as it said the developer needed to update some files. I appreciate you having a working mac version for all other games. That is rare :)
The mac version is for old 32-bit OS only, sadly. The files are gone so I can't update it, but I figured I'd leave this up just in case someone still can run it
I liked the game, the artstyle and music are both very charming, I also liked the storytelling, how the world speaks to you as you wander around to explore all the different biomes and locations, the final chamber of time was a surprise and did not disappoint, the struggle to find the monoliths was compensated.
It was an ejoyable experience, however it turned quite boring at the end when I only missed two monoliths and could not find them for a while, I sadly had to look up their location and sort of spoiled myself what the settle down button does, some form of compass to point out the locations of the monoliths could've avoided the grind, thought I see how that might not aligh with the envisioned experience so that's just my personal preference.
For what it offers though, the positive aspects outweigh the negatives.
This game was exactly what I´ve been looking for. For quite a while actually. It took me 1h and 30 min to complete it (most time was spent looking for the last two Symbol Stones and then realizing that they were next to me the whole time) but i dont quite like the ending to be honest. I´d love to see a second part with a happy ending (meaning that there IS something i can do). Also once i finished the game, i sadly forgot to screenshot the map, so I´m kindly asking you to send it to me. If you have discord, you could message me there at any time (My Discord username is: justhighlol). Also i was wondering if you drew everything by yourself in the game because i love the art style. I think i will add this into my sketchbook tomorrow :). Overall, It´s a great game and I enjoyed every second of it. Please keep making such games and I will make sure to play all of them.
12/10 wished I could play it for the first time again.
Yeah, I feel you there. I know we're merely a Storyseeker, we only seek stories, we do not make or interact with them, but still, kind wished there was something we could do. We're the only ones not stuck in time after all.
Hello! I wanted to send a report, but I got an error, so I'll write in the comments. Storyseeker doesn't seem to work on my version of mac. When I try to open the game in finder, I get this message: " The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information". I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
Ah yes the problem is that this game is old enough to have been created for 32 bit Macs. Nowadays Apple has made everything 64 bit only so old games don't work anymore unless the developer updates it. Sadly, updating Storyseeker would require me to remake it from scratch due to the original build files being broken. Sorry about that! I hope you can maybe find a PC to play it, sometime.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! As for localisation, sorry, this game is so old that its original build file is broken beyond repair, so it's unfeasible for me to make a version that would support translations. Thank you for the offer, though.

Unity & .pngs. Yeah, it's not exactly a well-optimised game, early work

Loved this so so so so much, just sad I couldn't fix things
Beautiful experience. I enjoyed a game that now involved combat in an open world environment.
Spoilers ahead.

Thank you for the answer! It's a pity that the files are broken, but I have the opportunity to play it on PC
This game is brilliant! Artwork, music, concept, everything is just grate! I would like to localize it in Italian (for free). Would you be interested?

Beautiful art, beautiful music, loved the writing, beautiful game overall! That ending though...damn...
