The Dark Queen of Mortholme is a poignant masterpiece.
I highly recommend playing it!
I found its story, while simple, to be very thoughtful, thoughtprovoking, and wise. It lacks minor, very specific, player interactions but those barely matter for the most important aspects/interactions are covered. This game made my day and will be in the back of my mind for years to come, of that I am sure.
On the linux version, the button to advance text and claim the hero is only mapped to space. There's no controller mapping for this function. The rest of the controls seemed to have mapped to a controller successfully. Thanks! This is definitely a fun one!
An issue for me too. On my system (Mint 22.1), only the D-pad and Joystick work, action buttons don't work at all. Can't even go past the menu with the controller
I think i ran into a bug where the hero is distracted, he automatically loses his middle heart when he walks up to me and then the last two when he approaches me. even if I don't move.

Great experience, I love how we are put in the shoes of the villain this time. Unexpected sweet story too, I was not prepared to be so invested in these two characters. Wonderful job done <3

there is only 1 ending right, or is there a secrect ending if you chose the right text dialog?
I found another one if you just stand there and do nothing (let the hero hit you).
There are three endings that I've seen, I won't tell you the conditions just incase you don't want spoilers.
