The game just doesn't work for me normally=( When I first opened it, it was normal, but the I quit, because Igtg.. Well, when I again opened it, that just bugged half the screen. Like literally. Every letter/starter screen/battle background is cut in half. It's kinda still playable, the other sprites still work like the queen and hero, but text unreadable =(
(i tried to redownload, but it doesn't work. It's also on windows)
Edit: ALL sprites are half-a-half. I can't even see the tut how to attack..
I love the game but I apparently ran into a bug right at the middle section? (after you change the first time, then the hero adapts the 2nd+) here I used one of the moves that killed him and the animation ended.
However, from that point onward the hero keeps getting hit from an invisible force, in the middle and right edge of the screen, that keeps killing the hero in the first phase. Thus dooming the hero forever to never overcome the challenge, lol.
An absolutely delightful game with spectacular character death that directly rewards you for being good at the game while also accepting the inevitable (whether or not that means your death!). Really great.
Gave this a try - amazing work! The narrative's engaging, the UI's well-made & the game looks incredibly polished. I only wish there were a few more potential endings/routes for this - will keep my eyes peeled on any expansions you make, or more future games of yours!

My game seems to have bugged out? the hero suddenly started taking contact damage from the queen and even if I do nothing they run at me and die and then say the exact same "oops I was distracted" line afterwards. they also have three hearts but the damage they take skips their first heart and directly damages their second one (leaving the first and third heart both full), so they die in two hits instead of three. I let it play out a few times but nothing changed so I think its a bug
It goes beyond the ordinary, the "normal" and does it perfectly. The funny but at the same time deep dialogues, the lore, animations, characters, gameplay and EVERYTHING is perfect.
A game worth playing again, and a thousand times more.
It was really good and the underlying message was just so good. Honestly i usually dont replay games a lot but this one made me just to see all the endings 10/10

This game is an absolute work of art, the pure anti-game that gets its themes across perfectly. You should be very very proud of this piece, it belongs in art galleries and this game will sit in my heart for a long time.

Whenever I try running the exe, I get the following error: "The code execution cannot proceed because SDL2.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."
I have reinstalled the exe multiple times, yet the problem didn't get fixed.
-Fixed it, I downloaded SDL2.dll from the github page, and placed it in the same folder as the exe
I thought "Cool! i'll just spam one attack so he can't learn how any of the others work!" Which was good for two minutes, until i HAD to use another attack just to find out the hero could already judge and dodge it perfectly.
I understood exactly what the game was about before i had even downloaded it; once i knew how the game worked mechanically i saw no interest in wasting my time with it.
I would love to sit here running through predetermined dialog in a single linear story with a premade set amount of fight sequences using clunky controls that only frustrate me as i barrel towards the one ending that anyone after the two sentence description will understand. But i'm not going to waste my time on this "experience."

while there IS an ending where u can win, the overall reason for this game was to show us the pov of the final boss and how lonely one can get on the top
Also u DO have a choice in what to do as a queen i have completed about 3 endings but im not sure if theres more? i suggest u give it a chance but its ok if games that dont come out and say everything and where u need to interpret a lot of feelings come is ur type of game :)
I'd love to play this game, but it seems like it's broken? As soon as the first fight begins, the Queen spams her attack and never stops. This is preventing me from moving past the first fight, unfortunately. This occurs even with my mouse and keyboard unplugged.
That smug little fuck deserved to get held captive and tortured instead of winning. Wish the queen had done that instead, loved the concept and visuals though!
this got tragically less interesting on a repeat playthrugh as the multiple dialogue options and potential for change made me think there would be multiple outcomes. Once I saw the same exact dialogue tree happen 2 loops in a row it got sort of disillusioning.

Dude, you play as a queen. You control her, not the 'hero' cuz it's anti-game (reverse game)

You can choose to refuse to fight multiple times and that leads down to a different ending.
